Spring Is Here
The long winter is finally turning to spring. Our cherry tree has blossoms and the apples are getting leaves. The peach out front (which I need to prune) has blossoms as well.
Soon I will be mowing lawns, fixing sprinklers and, no doubt, cleaning the garage.
But the weather is getting warmer and that's a good thing. It's just easier for me to get around and do things in warm weather, although some would argue that I am less active (which is French for lazy) in the summer. I do admit that too much heat is not pleasant to work in but the cold is worse for me.
Ok, I know this article is titled "Spring Is Here", but enough of the weather.
On to more interesting things.
First News
This is technically a blog, but we are calling it an online family newsletter. I think this will be a much better way to put our family news out than trying to send out that yearly page - twelve months of life consolidated onto one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper.
So here it is - our family news.
I am likely going to be the author of the articles for the most part, as I am the resident geek of the family. I am sure Connie or the girls are willing and able to post articles, but I am not sure how many they are able to post. I might force them to put up something, but I doubt it would be much more than a feigned attempt for my benefit.
Our New Dog
We have a new dog. His name is Toby. I know I posted a little info about him in the previous post, but I think this deserves a separate post.
Toby is a 4 year old Australian Shepard / Collie mix. He is quite an active dog. He loves to play catch (we're working on fetch) and frisbee and is great with the kids, although the kids wish he could be less excited and more cuddly.
I think Toby is a great addition to the family. He seems to fit right in. I wasn't sure about getting a dog but we seem to be doing fine and things are working out.
